I think everyone should have their own quilt...even a new baby. So after going through all my quilt books, choosing fabrics in just the right color scheme and obsessing as I always do, I finished this little crib size quilt for my dear friend,
Aleta and her little grandbaby. I forgot to photograph the backside (silly me) but it's the middle shade of pink with cream polka dots...and oh so cuddly soft flannel.

You make beautiful quilts Shantell. I wish at times I was so clever.
It's beautiful! I love the colour scheme!
Pssst. Just posted a little something perfectly perfect on my blog. ;o) Aleta
Shantell, your quilt is amazing - I love the colours you picked. My best friend is a professional quilter and it always amazes me how so man different fabrics can compliment each other. I am no good at picking fabrics, but you obviously have "the gift". Well done!
hugs,
Brenda
This quilt looks beautiful...
Did you handsew the whole of it? I know some people machine sew their patchworks...
Malko's mom is making a patchwork for us... Patchwork (all by hand) is her hobby and she is very good at it. She is making a patchwork for each of her grandchildren. I love the way she personalizes them.
Hugs,
Sophie.
